Steve ..." We refused to do "Lucky Stars" because although we had a best selling LP out and a single in the charts, they refused to let us do more than one number and they wanted us to open the show, which was being topped by Dee Dee Warwick." 'Plonk' Lane took over ..." We'd been opening everything, including 'Five O'Clock Club,' he said plaintively, "They were beginning to call us 'The Small Openers' I mean, own up - we had a number in the top ten. So let us be second or something." |

47. Friday 23rd December 1966 (Ready Steady Goes) (Yes that's right Goes) as the programme was re-titled as this was the farewell show. The Samll Faces joined in at the end of show finale to help sing "White Christmas"

50. Wednesday 15th February 1967 Studio G at Lime Grove the group recorded two 'early' Ampex (video-tape) 'inserts' for the song "I Can't Make It" for inclusion in later editions of TOTP but following the sessions the group were unhappy with the mix they had mimed when they watched the video played back. Therefore with the group refusing to give clearance to the two clips the VT was never screened and later wiped!
